North Park opened its doors in May 2002. Joe and Christine bought it a year later, shortly after their youngest daughter was born. Joe has loved bikes his whole life; he used to build up his own, and race in his younger years when he lived in England. One of his dreams was to have his own shop one day!

Before owning North Park, their house had an ever-growing collection of bikes, parts, tools and paraphernalia; there was a constant morphing of bicycles coming in and out the door. Christine jokes that once Joe passed owning six bikes, it was time to buy a shop to keep them all.

We stand on the edge of downtown in an old heritage building and serve commuters, families, students, recreational riders, roadies, touring folk, mountain bikers; if it’s got two wheels, everyone’s welcome. We proudly sell: Rocky Mountain, KHS, Raleigh, Electra, Surly, Pashley, Brompton, and Miele kids’ bikes. We also carry an ever-revolving variety of used bikes.

We repair most makes and models, with a vast selection of parts and components available to us. Your 1960’s vintage Peugeot can be competently fixed, equally as well as your 2009 full carbon race bike. Our relaxed, friendly, neighbourhood bike shop has earned a name in honest service with fair prices.
