Having a bike built to your specific needs is incredibly rewarding. We have the knowledge and patience to walk you through the process and will explain the options to you, so you can make an informed decision. At the end of it, you’ll have your perfect bike, made just for you. These usually include hand-built wheels, which offer strength and integrity over an equivalently priced factory built wheel.
We generally do custom builds on Surlys, and can usually do a custom build of better components for the same price as their complete bike. Rocky also has frames for quite a few of their bikes. We will also happily build up a bike with a frame you already have. We also use a business in town for powder coating – they do a great job, so if you’re hankering for a certain colour, don’t think you’re limited to what’s on our wall!
The Xtracycle Free Radical is a unit that can be added to virtually any existing bicycle. It extends your ‘back end’, and creates a whole new way to travel! Cargo, kids, fridges, surfboards… you name it. The Surly Big Dummy (pictured below in the very middle) is a bike made just for the Free Radical; it’s a solid, stable way to haul anything you can think of.

Below is a custom Pashley Soveriegn Princess for a customer that we customised (to an 8 speed) and accessorised to the hilt, replete with Brooks’ saddle, grips, panniers, mud flaps and tool bag.
